Soko Poker Rules
General Info:
Number of players: From 2 to max 8 players.
Deck: Normal deck - 52 cards.
Dealer: Cards are dealt clockwise starting with the first active
player after the dealer box.
Ante: Before the cards are dealt, each player must place the ante
("forced bet").
Game Play
Each player receives two cards – one dealt face down (“hole card” – which
can not be seen by other players) and one face up. The player showing the
highest card must make “bring-in” (forced bet) which usually amounts two
times ante or he can make a higher bet (if the limits allow it). Note that
ties in card rank are broken by suit in the following descending order -
spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs. After the initial bring-in, the action
continues clockwise until betting is completed for the round. Second betting
round starts after dealing an open card to each of remaining player and
betting action starts again with the player who has the highest visible
card. This is repeated two more times (two more cards dealt and two more
betting rounds in-between). After the fifth card is dealt to each remaining
player and fourth betting round is finished – it is time for the showdown.
If there was betting on fifth street the player who made the last bet or
raise must show his hand first, otherwise the player showing the highest
hand on the board shows his hand first. The best 5 card hand wins the pot.
If two or more players show the same hand they split the pot.
